THE BRADEN JAMES FUND
to combat pediatric brain cancer
The Braden James Fund focuses on addressing the deadliest pediatric brain cancer: Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Braden James Meeker, the fund’s namesake, succumbed to DIPG at age 5, after an 18 month fight with the disease.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
We benefited so much from the support of those around us, and now it is our turn to pay it forward. We designed the Braden James Fund to help families of DIPG-diagnosed children cope with the pain of this journey through a three-pronged approach: PLAY, ADVOCATE and CURE.
With your help, these young patients will get to PLAY for as long as possible, while we ADVOCATE for better access to critical care, and support research for a CURE.
With your generosity, children with DIPG will remain children - and not just patients - for as long as they can, just as Braden did. He would want nothing more than to ensure that no child has to suffer as he suffered.
Please join us in making a difference.
THE STATS
Did you know that brain cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death for children?
Approximately 300 children are diagnosed with DIPG every year in the U.S. - most are between the ages of 4 and 9.
